Lowering the handle retracts the bolt to open the door.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This feature is commonly found on communication doors. The lock can be paired with handles on a plate or on a mosaic, depending on the configuration.<\/p>\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section id=\"section-2\" class=\"wp-block-group msg-chapter is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simple or with condamnation<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A simple latch has no locking function. A privacy version adds a way to lock the door from inside, commonly for a bathroom or toilet.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The external emergency function and the door furniture compatibility must be considered. Some models have a reversible latch bolt.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An appropriate mechanism usually allows the door's appearance to be preserved.
