THE CERTIFICATION
A2P: assess the lock,
preserve its integrity.
The A2P certification is issued by CNPP following resistance tests against forced entry. For a lock, it relates to a specific configuration: mechanism, cylinder, strike plates, and any protective features listed in the certificate.
A multipoint lock is not automatically certified A2P. Similarly, installing an A2P-certified lock onto an existing door does not transform that door into a certified doorset. The strength of the frame, fixings, and hinges also matters.
When replacing a cylinder, we verify the compatible references with the lock. Mixing components without this verification may nullify the benefits of the certification.
THE A2P LEVELS
Stars to compare locks.
A2P ★
A first level of resistance to forced entry certification. It is selected based on the condition of your door and the requirements of your project.
A2P ★★
A higher testing level. The model choice still depends on the door configuration and the intended lock components.
A2P ★★★
The highest level of this lock classification. It does not replace the evaluation of other entrance elements.
DES SERRURES PICARD

INSTALLATION BY MULTISECU
A selected system.
A well-fitted closure.
We assess the type of door, the direction of opening, available dimensions, the condition of the frame and existing fixings. We also check the cylinder protection and hinge operation.
The quotation specifies the model, its configuration and any required adaptations. After installation, we adjust the strike plates, inspect each closure point, and test the keys with you. A lock should operate smoothly without any undue effort.
If the door is too degraded to accommodate a consistent reinforcement, we recommend considering a security doorset complete.
YOUR QUESTIONS
Useful answers.
Must we replace the entire door?
No. An appropriate lock can strengthen an existing door when its condition and the frame allow. The assessment determines whether a lock replacement is sufficient or whether a more comprehensive solution is warranted.
Can we retain the cylinder and keys?
Only if their reference is compatible with the chosen model and its certified configuration. We verify this before informing you of what can be retained.
What budget to plan for?
The cost depends on the lock, components, and installation adaptations. We prepare a quotation after inspecting your installation. If your insurance contract requires specific equipment, please send us this requirement so we can select the right reference.
