A private individual residing in Annecy contacted us to replace the lock cylinder of their front door with a more secure model. Their current cylinder was a basic model that did not provide sufficient protection against break-in attempts. Concerned about enhancing the security of their property, they wished to install a certified cylinder offering high resistance.
The solution proposed by MULTISECU
After assessing the client's requirements, we recommended a security cylinder compatible with their existing lock. The key security features included:
- Resistance to picking, drilling, and forced removal depending on the model
- Restricted key duplication with an ownership card
- Cylinder design and key entry protection
After comparing compatible solutions, the client selected a Picard cylinder meeting both their needs and budget. The A2P certification for a lock applies to a complete configuration: replacing the cylinder alone does not certify the entire door.
Carrying out the work
Our professional locksmith has carried out the installation of a new high-security cylinder at the client's residence in Annecy. The main steps were as follows:
- Removal of the old cylinder
- Taking measurements and verifying dimensions
- Installation of the Picard cylinder in the lock
- Opening and closing tests, followed by adjustments
- Supplying the keys and ownership card
The intervention was carried out with care and professionalism, in full compliance with industry standards. Our locksmith took the time to provide the client with advice on use and maintenance for the customer.
Customer satisfaction
The client has expressed satisfaction with the service. The replacement of his old cylinder with a security model provides him with better equipment suited to his needs, while preserving the integrity of his door.
Controlled reproduction keys and their security card complete this solution. The conditions for double keying remain those of the installed system.
