A lock problem in Seynod: the diagnosis
When our customer in Seynod contacted us, the Mottura lock in their security door was no longer working reliably. We inspected the fault and planned the work needed to restore dependable locking.
Examination of the mechanism confirmed that a replacement of the Mottura lock cylinder was necessary. Access to the cylinder required partial disassembly of the security door, followed by careful reassembly.
The stages of lock case replacement
The Mottura lock case replacement involved several carefully planned stages:
- Door disassembly : Unlike a standard door, a security door requires partial disassembly to access the internal mechanism.
- Panel removal : We carefully removed the door panels to reach the locking mechanism.
- Removing the faulty lock case : The damaged Mottura lock case was carefully removed from its housing.
- Fitting the new lock case : A new Mottura lock case compatible with the door model was fitted.
- Inspections and adjustments : Before closing the door, we carried out repeated checks to confirm the new mechanism operated correctly.
- Reassembly of the door : The door was carefully reassembled to preserve its appearance.
The benefits of a new Mottura lock case
Replacing a Mottura lock case offers several benefits:
- Restoring correct key and mechanism operation
